How to Play Sedecordle
Master the sedecordle game in minutes: sixteen hidden five-letter words, twenty-one shared guesses, and color clues on every grid.
Basic Rules
- Each puzzle uses 16 words at the same time.
- You have 21 guesses total.
- Every guess must be a valid 5-letter word.
- One guess is applied to all 16 boards.
- Green = correct letter, correct spot (for that board’s word).
- Yellow = letter is in the word but wrong position (that board).
- Gray = letter is not in that word (for that board).
Step-by-Step
Step 1: Choose a strong starter word (many players use words with common vowels and consonants).
Step 2: Press Enter and read the colors separately on each of the sixteen grids.
Step 3: Pick your next guess to maximize information across multiple boards.
Step 4: Repeat until all sixteen words are solved or you use all twenty-one guesses.
Example
Suppose your guess is CRANE. On board 3 you might see green C, yellow A, gray letters elsewhere—meaning that word uses C in first position and contains A somewhere else. On board 11 the same guess might show all gray for C, R, A, N, E—telling you none of those letters belong in that particular word. Same guess, different answers: that is the core challenge of the sedecordle game.
Beginner Mistakes
- Ignoring weak boards until too late—one stubborn word can waste several lines.
- Repeating letters you already ruled out on a given grid.
- Forgetting that yellow letters must appear somewhere in the word.
- Treating every grid like Wordle—here you optimize information across sixteen at once.
